# SmartPar settings

SmartPar is used to calculate recommended orders and quantities. SmartPar can be managed manually, or automatically calculated using the AI SmartPar setting.

To manage AI SmartPar settings: 

- Log into SmartBar and [find **SmartOrders**](https://support.beerboard.com/knowledge/how-to-access-smartorders?hsLang=en)
- Click **Configuration** button in the right hand side, above *Order Actions* section

- AI SmartPar settings are on the left-hand side

- If AI SmartPar is enabled, SmartPar Value fields in Perpetual Inventory will be disabled and cannot be edited
- If you wish to manually adjust your SmartPar Value fields, AI SmartPar should be disabled by removing the checks

Default settings:

AI SmartPar ON for Draft.

AI SmartPar OFF for Package, Liquor, and wine
