What is an exception?

SmartBar identifies "bad data" as exceptions. These exceptions are hidden by default within the yield tracker though you can navigate to the settings and have them displayed.

Exceptions are caused by after-hour pouring, post-close data, equipment issues, improper placement of equipment, etc. This is prevalent in weekly reporting. Compared to a daily report, the data shown does not fully capture the issue at hand.

Below are variances that will flag as an exception within a report:

  • +10% or greater
  • 0%
  • -40% or lower

By default, the *** exception notification is for products that performed -5% or worse. If a company (not a location) chooses to change the variance that triggers this flag, they must reach out to support.

Reviewing these exceptions can help bring attention to an irregularity. The user can then conduct their due diligence to properly identify the issue.
