How to update Product Information

Utilize the Product Management Widget and/or SmartOrders' Inventory Button

If using a Back Office integration, changes to products must be conducted within the Back Office as SmartBar is utilizing it as the source of truth. Changes made to products will not be permanent if the change is not done at the source.

Product Management Widget

Manage Line

In the product management widget, click on the brand you need to update. On the Manage Line pop-up window, click Inventory Levels.

Make the needed changes then click Finish. 

SmartOrders

Inventory Button

Navigate to SmartOrders and click the truck icon on the left-hand side.  Then click on the Inventory button located above Order Actions.

How to Add Product

Click on the "Add Product" button located above the Orders to Approve widget.

Choose the Product Type. Use the search bar to locate the product then fill out the product information in the Add Product pop-up window. Make sure the Package Size, Price, and Distributor are assigned to the item.

Click Save once done. 

If you receive a warning stating the item is already in your inventory then there is a good chance that the product, when initially added, did not have all the information that is needed. ex. assigned Distributor

In this example, Ayinger Bavarian Pilsner was being added, but since it is already in our inventory and does not have a Distributor assigned, an error message appears. 

Edit Product

To edit products within your inventory, simply click on the pencil icon and make any changes needed. Click Save once done. 

Inventory Management Orders to Approve

Within Orders To Approve section, click the product to open the Perpetual Inventory Report

From the Perpetual Inventory Report, inventory details can be found on the left-hand side

• Quantity on Hand: Shows the current inventory level. This quantity can be manually adjusted, but will automatically adjust based on POUR Volumes or received orders.
  Use this function to 'True-up' inventory as needed.
• Quantity for Discount: Enter the minimum quantity needed to receive a discount from the assigned distributor at the bottom
• SKU: Can be added or edited, if known, but will be overwritten once an invoice is received
• SmartPar Value: manage SmartPar AI settings to adjust SmartPar manually or have it calculated for you.
• Price (per keg, case, bottle, etc)
• Package Size: Options will adjust based on Product Type (Draft, Bottle, Wine, Liquor)
• Distributor: Assign the distributor where this product is available to order for your store
• If Beer or Wine product, there is a Lower ABV checkbox, if applicable

Click Save when finished to update your inventory for that product
