A new look for the same great Enhanced Insights!
Enhanced Insights allow users to better understand product selling power by tapping into Beerboard’s vast customer network and their business.
To access the new Enhanced Insights, click on the pie chart icon located on the left panel.
On the Insights page, users will have seamless access to

Filters
- Access Filter options by clicking the Filters button. This will expand the filter panel. Once selections are done, minimize the panel by clicking on the Filters button again.
- For The Summary tab, users can choose the date range in which they want to review their data
- Draft, Package, Liquor, and Wine gives users a more in-depth look at each product, allowing users to sort by Product type, Styles, Categories, ABV (Draft & Package) and States.

- Provides an overview of all product types; Draft, Package, Liquor, and Wine.
- Within each product category chart, users can view information such as the 30-day average for their Draft products, the number of units sold in Package, and the sold ounces for both Liquor and Wine.

New Insights - Cash Flow
Note: To get the most out of Cash Flow Index, it is vital that users operate SmartBar efficiently and follow the best practices and Invoice Capture. A correct draft line-up, accurately updated inventory, and general SmartBar maintenance will help ensure the data reflects correctly.
The Cash Flow information can be seen by Type and consists of:
- Total
- Draft
- Package
- Liquor
- Wine
- Keg Deposits
- Package Deposits
- Liquor Deposits
- Wine Deposits
- Keg Returns
- Fees
By scrolling down, users can see All Product Performance consisting of all categories.
Draft products displays avgkegs and packages avgbottles.
Users are given the cash flow (profit) by subtracting revenue by the purchased amount.
Users are given the index for a product or category by dividing revenue by the purchased amount.
should a user forget how these key items are calculated, a table rubric has been built into the Cash Flow Index tab.
Underneath the All Products Performance chart, it showcases the Products with less than 70% gross profit margin or GPM.
This gives a good call out to products that users may want to reconsider having. Having data-driven conversations with your distributor will help get concerns across while maintaining the relationship.
Gross profit cost comes from Inventory, which can be updated by invoice when submitted into SmartOrders, or if the user updates the cost manually
Draft Slow Movers shows products with an average keg amount less than .7 kegs per 30 days. Given the data, replacement for these products may be considered, and further purchases may want to be postponed.
