For customers who want to have full control of their PLU management with manual maintenance and no product approval
- If Master PLU list is available, please send to support@beerboard.com and your main Bar Optimization point of contact to begin the onboarding process
- Turnaround time for master PLU list upload may vary based on size of the list
- If no PLUs exist for your bar or restaurant, BeerBoard can generate PLUs for you
- Customer is responsible for maintaining the PLUs via the Product Management section on SmartBar and clicking the POS button to edit or add PLU and pricing information
- Once onboarding is complete for PLU Management, PLUs can manually maintained thru SmartBar → Product Management
- Update PLUs
- Access all available products in inventory: Product Management → POS button → assign or edit PLU for each product/size as needed → save
NOTE: PLUs created outside of SmartBar must also remember to manually update PLUs in SmartBar or sales data will not be captured accurately

Depending on how your security profile is set up, you may be prompted with the Location Confirmation pop-up window.
By selecting Update Current Location, only the location that you are signed into will be updated with your PLU changes. If you select Update All Locations, keep in mind that not only will your location update but so will all other corresponding locations.
Remove / Replace PLU
To remove a PLU or replace a PLU with one currently in use, navigate to the POS window and locate the product you wish to edit.
For removal, simply delete the PLU then click save
If removing multiple PLUs, this process must be done for each one.
When Replacing a PLU with one that is currently in use, you will follow the step above before adding the PLU to the designated size. Click save once done.
