This option offers the same as PLU Management with Product Approval but with the addition of BeerBoard generated PLUs for faster tap management of rotating brands
Tap Management is used to generate PLUs for products added on the line in Current Draft List
During PLU Management onboarding, the range of additional unassigned PLUs can be determined by the customer to align with formatting, or BeerBoard can determine the range to be used. Any range can be assigned.
How it works:
- When a core or mandated product is added to a line, this will follow the normal Product Approval workflow that was determined during onboarding
- When a "non-core", or rotating product is added to the Current Draft List, a PLU will be assigned from the determined range, and a notification will be sent from BeerBoard to the POS team notifying them which PLU was used
- Once PLUs are assigned, this will trigger an email that will be sent to the bar or restaurant manager who made changes to the Current Draft Line or Bottles & Cans, and contains the PLU information that will need to be entered into your stores POS system. This can also be sent to a POS team, if needed.
- PLU and Price can be edited at any time in SmartBar. The price entered is what will appear on your SmartMenu or BeerBoard TV
